GCQG Exhibit at Sample McDougald House

  • Sample-McDougald House

Specific times and details to follow.

They have requested that we fill the house on both floors with the "joyous" energy of the quilts from our "Red, White and Beautiful" 2012 Guild Challenge and Special Exhibit. Because we are limited by the size of available wall space within each room of the house (due to windows and doors etc. that break up a room), we'll review the list of our red and white quilts for sizes that are compatible. We plan to collect them at the Sept. Guild meeting. In addition, we will need some small Christmas and Chanukah quilts----collecting them at the Sept. meeting as well.

Stacked Coins Workshop

  • Boca Raton Community Center

Learn Kansas Trouble's layered raw edge patchwork technique in this workshop. Starting with precuts eliminates a lot of cutting. Stack a mini charm (2 1/2") on a charm (5") on a layer cake (10"); top stitch/cut/piece. What do you get? This fun quilt that's so much easier than it looks.

30-Something Workshop

  • Boca Raton Community Center

Kansas Trouble's layered raw edge patchwork technique makes these delightful double stars a breeze to make. Lynn has simplified the traditional piecing and increased the dimensional appeal with raw edge elements stitched on background squares. Blocks are less bulky and perfectly square with fewer seams and less pressing. It all adds up to a stress free day of quilting.
