At the January meeting, this year’s UFO Challenge will be introduced. You have Januaryand February to enroll in the challenge. Our definition of UFO is any pile of fabric or scraps or a partially finished top that can be turned into a finished quilt. Your UFO can also be an idea for a quilt that you will finish this year. For example, your daughter may be expecting a child and you know you’ll make her a quilt. Your UFO can even be something that just needs a binding. The quilt must be made from your stash or your friend’s stash, not a pre-cut Quilt for Caring kit.
Start Date: January 20, 2015
End Date: August 18, 2015
1. All entries must be registered by completing this form listing up to 10 projects. You can also just email your list to Dorothy McDonnell.
2. Register up to 10 projects at any time from January 20th to February 28th. Projects must not be completed quilts.
3. Report each project when it’s quilted and bound. We would like you to show your quilt at Show & Tell, although this is not a requirement.
You get one chance for each quilt reported as finished, up to 6. One winner will be picked on August 18th. The prize is a $75 gift certificate to the longarm quilter of your choice who is a member of our guild.
Dorothy McDonnell will assist you by answering any questions you have, including tips on how to finish your project.
